The Japanese Muscle, sometimes abbreviated as the J-Muscle, is one of the premiere vehicles in Burnout 2: Point of Impact. Despite the name, it is not considered an upgrade of the stock Muscle and is instead a standalone vehicle, nor is it related to the similarly-named J Coupe from Burnout Dominator, though it could be viewed as a successor to the original Burnout's Saloon GT.

Despite being an early unlock, the Japanese Muscle is one of the best vehicles in the game, boasting perfect handling and top speed as well as excellent acceleration, losing out only to the Supercar and Oval Racer. Despite these near-perfect stats, it can be a handful for new players, who might find it difficult to control such a fast vehicle. Advanced players should be able to pick this car up and use it well without much issue, however.

For the Xbox release, the Japanese Muscle's stats received a slight drop. Its control and top speed are no longer perfect, although it still boasts very high control and good top speed. Its acceleration hasn't seen any changes, however.

The Japanese Muscle has eight colors in total. It is tied for the most amount of colors for a single vehicle in Burnout 2 with the Classic and Compact. It can be colored white, gray, black, blue, red, burgundy, yellow and lavender.

As an opponent in the championship, it appears once in both classes; in the standard Championship as the opponent in Face Off 3 and in the Custom Series Championship as an opponent in the Point Of Impact Grand Prix. Depending on the player's choice of vehicle, it may also appear as an extra opponent in the Heart Attack Grand Prix.

How to Unlock[]

Defeat it in Face Off 3.

Resemblance[]

The J-Muscle looks like a slight combination of the fourth generation Toyota Supra and a third generation HSV Monaro.
